The dangers of eating soil

 Soil is a foreign material carrying lot of dirt and harmful agents such as fungi, animal faeces and worms. Most women enjoy eating clay soil, mostly pregnant women. This is very common is Africa. Eating clay soil is not that much of an addiction but more of a craving. People crave for soil and sometimes it is a normal thing to do so.


Eating clay soil may cause constipation or intestine blockage. This can lead to stomach pains and muscle weakness. If you eat the soil and the are contaminants, such substance may cause symptoms. If you feel like you are not well healthy wise, visit your doctor for consultation.


Eating soil can be also hazardous which can lead to worm infections. Another thing when you eat too much clay soil it can contribute to iron deficiency and cause anaemia. It can cause low level of potassium and it might also cause lead poisoning, skin sore and breathing problems.
